About

I was born in 1984. Coming from a creative family, I started playing drums early. Very early, to be exact. I grew up in Franconia and attended the musical Herder Gymnasium in my hometown Forchheim. Here I learned classical piano. I also attended the promotional class of the Erlangen Music Institute and received training there in harmony, piano and percussion.  Since graduating from high school in 2003, I have been working as a freelance music producer, composer and media designer in the audio field.

Since 2005 I am the drummer of Subway To Sally. With this band I was allowed to play about 1.000 concerts all over the world, among them „Rock im Park“, „Rock am Ring“, „Wacken Open Air“, „Nova Rock“, „70k Tons Of Metal“, „Summerbreeze“ just to name a few. In 2008 Subway To Sally won Stefan Raab’s „Bundesvision Song Contest“ and received a gold record for the „Nackt“ DVD in the same year. „Das fliegende Kamel“, one of my audio book productions, won the „Preis Der Schallplattenkritik“ in 2013 and was awarded the German media prize „Leopold“ in 2015.

2022 I stood, for the first time in my career, at number one in the German album charts with „Memento Mori“ by „Feuerschwanz“.

Besides my passion for music, I seek relaxation and tranquility in nature. Together with my wife, I enjoy extended hikes in our Franconian homeland. Here you can see some pictures of our excursions. Besides hiking, my big hobbies are juggling and espresso. I’m not bad at either, but I’m currently still working on both my five-ball juggling and the perfect espresso.
